The online training program titled ‘Measurement and Evaluation Training Series-5: Scoring Key Preparation’, which was organised in cooperation with Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University Faculty of Education Examination Coordinatorship and Educational Excellence Application and Research Center (NEVEMM), was successfully held on Thursday, 08 May 2025 at 14.00.
The training was presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Funda Nalbantoğlu Yılmaz, a faculty member of Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University, and moderated by Assoc. Assist. Bedri Nejat Yüzüak undertook the moderation. In this activity, which aims to improve the knowledge and skills of academic staff on measurement and evaluation processes, the basic principles of preparing effective scoring keys were discussed and practical analyses were carried out with the participants.
During the training process, the participants learnt about different types of rubrics, methods of determining criteria for open-ended questions and strategies for ensuring objectivity. In the practical part, scoring keys were developed based on sample scenarios and evaluation processes were discussed in line with these keys.
In the continuation of the training series, activities to provide information on current approaches in the field of measurement and evaluation and to support professional development will continue.
